As a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I build supportive and collaborative relationships with my clients in which they feel encouraged, heard, respected, involved, and capable of achieving their goals. Each person has a unique experience in life and I take the time to get to know my clients’ individual experiences and I honor and validate these experiences. Through therapeutic work, I collaborate with each client to explore his or her experiences, beliefs, values, behaviors, and lifestyle to help each client develop a deeper understanding of self and to ultimately, build and maintain a healthy sense of self.
Our relationships with others often impact our mental health as well. We all tend to want to belong and feel connected to others and we sometimes need assistance in creating healthy connections with others. I assist my clients in developing skills that help to create or improve these connections with others.
I have a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Adler Graduate School in Richfield, MN and I am currently pursuing licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I have over 2 years of experience providing psychotherapy to families, couples, adults, adolescents, and children and enjoy collaborating with each of my clients as they develop a deeper connection with themselves and a stronger sense of self and identity. I have experience working with self-esteem issues, relationship issues (couples, parent-child and sibling-to-sibling conflict), depression, anxiety and stress reduction, eating disorders, autism, grief and loss, trauma, career transitions, and family life transitions.
